Kenny Tete broke the deadlock with his first goal in nearly two years, a strike from the edge of the area that took a deflection on its way in. The second arrived after a calamitous moment from Guglielmo Vicario, who strayed from his box and gifted possession to Harry Wilson. The winger responded with a measured finish from 35 yards into an unguarded net.
Spurs were abject before the interval and could have fallen further behind when Samuel Chukwueze struck the post, with Fulham threatening to run away with the contest. Thomas Frank’s side improved after the restart and were given a lifeline when Mohammed Kudus guided a crisp volley into the top corner, but they could not haul themselves level. The home crowd voiced their fury at full-time as Spurs slipped to tenth, a point ahead of a Fulham side sitting fifteenth.

The visitors were excellent for the first 20 minutes, and that burst of intensity proved decisive. Their only previous away point this season had come from a draw, and their last league victory on the road was against Frank’s Brentford in May. They had not won at Tottenham for 12 years, back at the old White Hart Lane.
Chukwueze, making his first start since arriving on loan from Milan, was a constant nuisance. The 26-year-old created the opener for Tete, clipped the post and almost found another opening after rounding the goalkeeper.
Fulham kept their composure when Vicario’s loose pass presented them with a second chance. Raul Jimenez pressed the keeper into his error and Wilson finished the move off, playing a neat one two with Josh King before lifting the ball home from 36.6 metres. It was the second-longest range goal of the Premier League season, coming on the same day as Tyler Adams’ 43.3 metre strike for Bournemouth.
Fulham did not muster a shot between the 13th and 73rd minute yet still carried a late threat, with Kevin going close to adding a third.
