What's your favourite venue in London?

We spent a bit of time thinking about the greatest gig venues across London and came up with the following list. Is your favourite on there?

Wembley Stadium

More famously known for football, Wembley hosted Coldplay and most notably, some of the Oasis reunion gigs in the summer of 2025. The sight of almost 90,000 people reliving their youth was special during the five nights of Oasis was very wholesome.

The Roundhouse

A historic venue located in Camden, known for its state-of-the-art facilities and hosting a wide range of music events. Their website says: "Since the 1960s we've opened up space for creativity to empower people and communities."

The O2

An obvious choice to move onto next. This is London's largest indoor arena. It's capable of hosting massive concerts and events. One of our writers was there for The Wombats and he said that he is still impressed by it. 

Brixton O2 Academy

This is another stunning venue known for its excellent acoustics and hosting a variety of genres. The atmosphere created at the recent Babyshambles gig was incredible. 

Troxy

This is a venue with a fascinating history. According to our in-depth search across the internet, it was originally built as a cinema in 1933. It closed in 1960 and became a training school for the London Opera Centre. It was later used as a bingo hall before being converted to a live events space in 2006. The building is considered a vital part of East London's music scene. It currently has a capacity of 3,100.

Royal Albert Hall

This historic and iconic venue is known for its grand architecture and hosting a wide range of events, including music concerts. One of the most iconic moments from this venue came in 1969 when the legendary Jimi Hendrix performed there. 

Finsbury Park

London has some fantastic ‘park venues,’ and it was a tough call between Finsbury Park and Hyde Park to include here. We opted for Finsbury. This place has hosted some of the biggest and best in recent years, including the  Fontaines D.C. show. 

Union Chapel

One of the more unique venues in this list. This is a church with a difference, known for its beautiful acoustics and hosting a variety of musical acts. It was built in the late 19th century in the Gothic revival style and a Grade I-listed building. It is at the north end of Upper Street, near Highbury Fields. The sheer variety of events that are held here convinced us we had to include it even if it's very different to everything else that we've listed here.
