Throwback to 2024
Carlos Alcaraz from Spain managed to retained his men's singles title after defeating Novak Djokovic 3-0 (6-2, 6-2, 7-6) in the final. In the Ladies event,
Barbora Krejcikova won her first Wimbledon title after defeating Italy's Jasmine Paolini 2-1 (6-2, 2-6, 6-4) in the final.
The men and women to watch out for
Carlos Alcaraz
The obvious one to look at first, being the winner of the Championship in 2024 and 2023. The tennis world is Alcaraz's oyster it seems, as he now has four Grand Slam titles in total. Aside from being a two-times Wimbledon champ, he's also won the French Open and the US Open.
Iga Swiatek
Since her meteoric rise, the world number 1 has dominated the WTA tour, establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with. At 2024's Wimbledon, she only made it to the third round and will surely be looking at reaching the final stages.

Novak Djokovic
Despite losing the final last year, there is no doubt that the world number 2 will enter the All England Club in next July as one of the top contenders to reclaim his title.
Aryna Sabalenka
The current world number three, Aryna Sabalenka is one to have on your radar. She had to drop out of Wimbledon 2024 due to a shoulder injury, but will hope to be back on form for 2025. It wouldn't surprise us if she made into the semi-finals.
British chances
Andy Murray's two titles could easily be described as two of the moments in British sporting history. The sheer relief when Andy won the competition in 2013, for the first time, will go down in history. Now looking at 2025, will any men of women follow in Andy's footsteps?
