Transfer News | West Ham moved closer to the signing of Kyle Walker-Peters
Walker-Petersbis poised to join the club on a free transfer after leaving Southampton at the end of his contract.

The 28-year-old full-back had been expected to move to Besiktas, now managed by former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær, but the Turkish side announced they had ended their pursuit on Thursday, citing a delay to his medical following renewed interest from West Ham.
Walker-Peters, capped twice by England, made over 200 appearances for Southampton, scoring six goals. He initially joined the club on loan from Tottenham before making the move permanent in 2020.

A regular throughout his time on the south coast, he played 43 games during Southampton’s promotion-winning campaign in 2023–24 and featured 35 times in the Premier League last season, registering two assists.
West Ham, who finished 14th in the Premier League, have already been active in the transfer market, completing the £19m signing of Senegal defender El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague and making Jean-Clair Todibo’s loan move from Nice permanent.
