Joe: Frustrated by the lack of progress and the failure to play to our strengths. What is the point of heavy investment if it does not translate on the pitch? At what stage will the manager show the tactical acumen needed to deliver the success supporters demand?
Andy: It was disappointing to see Arsenal set out to contain rather than to compete. The late Liverpool goal felt inevitable. Had we attacked as we did in the closing stages, the outcome could have been different. If you set up for a draw, that is all you are likely to achieve.

Debs: Signing a top-class striker but providing no service is baffling. To then build a squad that seems reliant on a 15-year-old, no matter how gifted, only underlines the lack of balance.

Aaaron: Arteta has only himself to blame. Liverpool were vulnerable and Arsenal had the upper hand, yet caution prevailed and the punishment came late. The hope now is that lessons are taken on board and the full potential of the squad is finally released.
Gerry: We were unsettled before kick-off when William Saliba, injured in the warm-up, attempted to play through an ankle sprain but lasted only a few minutes before being replaced by Cristhian Mosquera. Given the growing list of absentees, it was the last disruption the team needed, yet Mosquera’s display was among the brighter notes. He looked composed, assured on the ball and unfazed by either the calibre of the opposition or the occasion. Riccardo Calafiori also impressed me.
Peter: That emphatic free-kick may have secured all three points for the current champions, but there was enough in the performance to suggest we are not far behind and remain firmly in the title race.
