Silva's side press for a winner against Manchester United |
After a failure to win their opening league matches this season, Fulham desperately needed to make some changes to their squad.
Kevin moves from Shakhtar Donetsk
Kevin’s pace, close control and eye for a pass have quickly established him as a major threat to opposition defenders. His career began in Brazil with Palmeiras, where in only 11 senior appearances he picked up a league title and drew the interest of Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Ukrainian club paid a reported €15m to secure his signature and he made an immediate impact, helping them to a league and cup double in his first season. He went on to retain the Ukrainian Cup and gain his first experience of Champions League football the following year.

Voted Shakhtar’s player of the season by supporters last term, Kevin departs with 17 goals and 10 assists from 57 appearances. At international level he has represented Brazil up to Under-20s, scoring twice in five matches.
Kusi-Asare arrives on loan
At 6ft 5in, Kusi-Asare cuts an imposing figure for a striker, yet he is equally assured with the ball at his feet.
He made history with AIK in 2023, becoming the youngest player to appear in Sweden’s top flight shortly after his 16th birthday.
Bayern moved for him in February 2024 and he went on to make his Bundesliga debut in April, coming off the bench in place of Harry Kane.
On the international stage he has featured across Sweden’s youth teams, most recently collecting four caps for the Under-21s, with whom he is set to link up again during this international break.
Samuel Chukwueze could be a fantastic addition
This was how Fulham announced the signing across their social media accounts.
Samuel Chukwueze is a quick and skilful winger, renowned for his pace and ability in one-on-one situations. A left-footer who usually plays on the right, he is also comfortable on either flank. Having developed at the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria, he moved to Europe in 2017 to join Villarreal. A year later, he made his senior debut in the Europa League against Spartak Moscow, before netting his first goal in a Copa del Rey tie.
From there, Chukwueze became a regular in the Villarreal side and played a major role in their most successful period in recent memory. He was part of the team that lifted the Europa League in 2021 and then helped them to the Champions League semi-finals the following year. Over the course of 207 appearances for the Spanish club, he registered 37 goals and 29 assists, marking himself out as one of their most influential attacking players.
His exploits caught the eye of AC Milan, who secured his signature in a deal reported to be worth €28m. Chukwueze’s first season in Italy saw Milan finish second in Serie A, and he made headlines by scoring the decisive goal away to Newcastle United in the Champions League. He also featured in the Coppa Italia Final, coming off the bench in a narrow defeat to Bologna.
In total, the Nigerian made 70 appearances for Milan over two seasons, averaging close to a goal contribution every other game. Though his time in Italy brought mixed fortunes for the team, Chukwueze’s direct style and knack for big moments left a mark on the club as he now prepares for the next chapter in his career.
