In the end, that was a fairly comfortable win for Chelsea. Aside from the red card, that was a perfect afternoon.

Malo Gusto, already on a booking, receives a second yellow and is sent off. It is Chelsea’s fifth dismissal in six league and cup games.

A corner is swung into the Forest area and Matz Sels’ attempted punch falls kindly to Reece James, who lashes the ball into the net. Home supporters are already streaming towards the exits.

Having set up the opener, Neto exploits a gap in the Forest wall and leaves Matz Sels grasping at air. Chelsea look firmly in control.

Enzo Maresca eased some of the pressure on his Chelsea side with a 2-1 win over Liverpool before the international break, following consecutive defeats to Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Willian Estevao’s stoppage-time goal not only sealed the victory but also toppled Liverpool from the top of the Premier League table, with the young forward among the key players Maresca will depend on as injuries continue to affect Chelsea’s squad.
