Football Preview | QPR v Millwall
An intriguing encounter between two sides with promotion ambitions.
QPR head into the weekend in sixth spot in the Championship standings, while the Lions are just a point adrift in eighth position.
After a terrible start to the season, QPR fans have witnessed a huge upturn in form and performances. Last time out, it was a dramatic win at Bristol City. Goals from Richard Kone and Paul Smyth completed a stirring second-half comeback
For Millwall, their boss Alex Neil will be looking for more consistency from his side. After a good start to the season, they have only won two matches out of their last six.
Team news
For QPR, Kwame Poku, Ilias Chair and Jake Clarke-Salter have all returned to full training this week, while Rhys Norrington-Davies is also back in contention, giving the head coach a welcome selection dilemma.
As for the visitors, they remain without goalkeeper Lukas Jensen, who continues his recovery from an Achilles injury. Danny McNamara, Alfie Doughty, Daniel Kelly and Casper De Norre are all in contention for a place in the matchday squad after recently returning to training. One fan told us: "If we can get a few players back, we'll have a strong squad. Just hope we can get some back for this match against QPR. A draw would be a positive result for us."
