Recent form for Tottenham and Chelsea
There has been mixed fortunes in recent matches. Last weekend, Chelsea were stunned by Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. Spurs, on the other hand, went to Everton and eased to a comfortable win.
The situations were reversed in the midweek EFL Cup fixtures. Chelsea came out on top of a dramatic seven goal thriller against Wolves. Samuel, a Chelsea fan, gave his opinion after the match, saying: "The first half was excellent, but what went wrong in the second half? We were cruising and just like we always do, took our foot off the throttle and just about survived, despite yet another red card. It seems to me that Maresca has lost total control of the discipline within the players, which didn't help with his own red card recently."
Spurs, on the other hand, were knocked out by Newcastle United. After that midweek defeat, a fan, Hollie, who was in the away end told us: "Richarlison was dreadful, Xavi Simons was dreadful, Tel was dreadful. We are crying out for a proper striker who will throw themselves into the contest instead of shying away at the key moment like Richarlison does. We could have played all night and still not scored."

Both teams have injury problems
Tottenham are enduring the worst injury crisis in the Premier League, with concerns stretching into double figures ahead of Saturday’s match. Yves Bissouma (ankle), Kota Takai (ankle), Dominic Solanke (ankle), Radu Dragusin (knee), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), James Maddison (knee), Archie Gray (calf) and Ben Davies (thigh) have all been ruled out.
There is some relief for Frank, however, as Cristian Romero (adductor), Destiny Udogie (knee) and Wilson Odobert (abdominal) have all been passed fit, while Guglielmo Vicario has recovered from the issue that kept him out of the Newcastle defeat.
A fully refreshed Micky van de Ven is also set to return to the backline, while Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani are all pushing for places in attack.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have problems of their own. Liam Delap will serve a one-match suspension after being sent off for two yellow cards against Wolves, an incident Maresca described as “very stupid”.
Interesting words from the Chelsea manager.

Delap joins Cole Palmer (groin), Dario Essugo (thigh), Benoît Badiashile (muscle), Levi Colwill (knee) and Mykhaylo Mudryk (doping suspension) on the sidelines.
Maresca paired João Pedro and Marc Guiu through the middle against Sunderland, but Andrey Santos is expected to come into the starting eleven, while Jamie Gittens may make way for a rested Alejandro Garnacho despite his goal and two assists in midweek.
This has the potential to be another classic. We can't wait.
