Idris El Mizouni’s header in the 62nd minute secured the three points for the O’s, who recovered from last week’s defeat at Rotherham to overcome a Lincoln team chasing a fifth win in six matches.
How Orient gained a well deserved three points
The visitors had the better of a subdued first half and should have taken the lead after just two minutes when Ben House struck the bar from close range. Conor McGrandles then fired narrowly over as Orient struggled to break out of their own half.
The home side improved significantly after the interval and nearly opened the scoring through Aaron Connolly, whose interplay with Dom Ballard ended with a fine save from George Wickens.
Connolly, the Republic of Ireland international, then sparked the move that led to the winning goal. His run down Lincoln’s left flank produced a low cross that was only partially cleared to Michael Craig, who delivered the ball onto the head of an unmarked El Mizouni to net his third goal of the season.

Late pressure from the away side
Lincoln had to wait until the 84th minute for a meaningful sight of goal, when Tendayi Darikwa volleyed towards target.
Orient defender Dan Perkins reacted sharply to smother the danger, before Frankie Okoronkwo sent the rebound over the bar.
The visitors pressed again moments before the fourth official signalled at least five minutes of added time, but Omar Beckles threw himself in the way of Justin Obikwu’s effort to preserve the lead and help ensure the home side claimed all three points.
