Spurs v Man United

Spurs are facing their third match in six days, and Thomas Frank will be eager to ensure his side avoids a third straight defeat.

A clean sheet will be high on the agenda after conceding nine goals across their last two outings against Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain.

Fulham make the short trip across the capital buoyed by a 1-0 win over Sunderland last weekend, with Marco Silva having steadied the side after a run of four successive defeats.

Spurs team news

The hosts will be without the suspended Cristian Romero after he collected his fifth booking of the league campaign during the defeat in the north London derby.

Kevin Danso is expected to step in alongside Micky van de Ven at the centre of defence, with Thomas Frank likely to return to a 4-2-3-1 after using a back five against Arsenal.

Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert and Destiny Udogie are all in contention to start after featuring from the bench in Paris, while Joao Palhinha could be set to face his former side.

How about Fulham?

Fulham are lifted by the return of Sasa Lukic after the midfielder missed the Sunderland win through suspension. Rodrigo Muniz remains a long term absentee and Antonee Robinson is a doubt with a knee issue.

Samuel Chukwueze may be handed a start after supplying the assist for Raul Jimenez’s winner last weekend, while former Arsenal players Bernd Leno, Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe are all expected to be involved.

Key stats ahead of the match

Spurs’ grip on this fixture has slipped in recent years. After winning eight of nine league meetings with Fulham between 2013 and 2023, they have now gone three without victory against the Cottagers.

Fulham have taken two wins from their last three league games against this weekend’s opponents, matching their tally from the previous 23 encounters.

Spurs come into this on the back of successive derby defeats, falling 1-0 to Chelsea and 4-1 to Arsenal. They have not lost three league derbies on the bounce in the same season since the autumn of 2021, when they suffered four straight defeats.

Across the current two-season period, no ever-present side has fared worse at home. Spurs have won only three league games in front of their own supporters in 2025, lost nine and collected just 12 points. They have not reached double figures for home league defeats in a calendar year since 2003.
