Music Preview | Gigs this weekend
Let's have a look at some of the best and biggest gigs going on this weekend
There's a lot going on!
We are starting to approach the season of big indoor gigs after a memorable outdoor music season which saw the likes of Oasis and Coldplay have memorable concerts at Wembley.
Friday 7 November
Pendulum
The drum and bass collective heads to Brixton Academy for what promises to be another electrifying night. Since emerging in 2003, they have released three studio albums and earned a reputation as one of the most formidable live acts around, blending D&B and heavy metal at a blistering pace.
Marilyn Manson
Taking place at Wembley Arena, this is one of the biggest gigs this weekend. As a live performer, the combination of Manson as an eccentric frontman and the warped lyrics found in their discography turned the shows into a cult phenomenon, which tours the world.
Saturday 8 November
Reef
One band that can always be relied upon to put on a foot-stompingly, arm-wavingly, thoroughly enjoyable performance of no-nonsense, riff-driven indie-rock music. This weekend, they head to Shepherd's Bush Empire for what should be a memorable show as always.
Kae Tempest
The 2nd of the big weekend gigs at the Brixton Academy. This show will focus heavily on material from the new album, Self Titled, which was released in July 2025. This new record is being hailed as Kae’s most personal and revealing work yet, marking a return to their hip-hop roots while weaving in elements of modern pop.
Sunday 9 November
Clipse
One of the most interesting shows this weekend, at the Forum Kentish Town. They are a band with a varied history. Before launching their own label, Re-Up Records, in 2004, Clipse released the Pharrell-produced Lord Willin’ on Star Trak/Arista in 2002. The album showcased their gritty, drug-fuelled brand of hip-hop and drew strong reviews, peaking at No 4 on the Billboard 200. Their 2006 follow-up, Hell Hath No Fury, became their most successful release, winning widespread acclaim from outlets including XXL, Pitchfork and The Guardian. After Til the Casket Drops in 2009, the duo announced a hiatus to pursue solo projects.
