An important result for Charlton Athletic
They secured their Championship status with a pair of fantastic goals from Charlie Kelman and Jayden Fevrier

Kelman set the tone with a superb curling effort into the top corner to put the Addicks ahead, before John Egan restored parity for Hull with a header deep into first-half stoppage time.
Hull improved markedly after the interval, with Mohamed Belloumi’s introduction adding impetus, but Charlton regained the lead when Fevrier skipped beyond two challenges and drove a low finish past Ivor Pandur.
Paddy McNair squandered a late opportunity after Thomas Kaminski misjudged a long throw, only for the defender to fail to make clean contact with his volley.
With Pandur stranded upfield following a Hull corner, Fevrier surged the length of the pitch and came close to a remarkable second, though his effort was superbly cleared off the line by Kyle Joseph.
The impact of this result
The win, combined with West Bromwich Albion’s draw with Ipswich Town, confirms Oxford United’s relegation to League One ahead of their meeting with Sheffield Wednesday.
Hull, meanwhile, miss the chance to move back into the play-off places, with Wrexham due to face champions Coventry City on Sunday.
