Ritchie: Crystal Palace handed Everton the lead twice but showed real resilience to draw level on both occasions. There were moments when the side looked understandably drained after Thursday’s exploits, yet they grew into the contest and finished looking the stronger and sharper team. Missed chances ultimately denied Palace the victory their display merited, though there was still plenty to take encouragement from.

Tony: Probably a decent point. I'm not convinced anyone cares about the league games now.

Jamie: The atmosphere before the match was amazing. Very special.

Before the match kicks off. Fireworks being set off

Stephen: In the aftermath of Thursday night’s celebrations, it almost felt inevitable that Palace would make a slow start and concede early. They responded impressively to get back into the game, which made the second setback shortly after the restart all the more frustrating. Ongoing problems defending corners and an unexpected weakness against direct balls through the middle kept nerves jangling throughout. Even so, the character within this side surfaced once more to rescue a deserved point.

Olivia: A strong display from Palace, particularly in the closing 20 minutes when fatigue from Thursday might reasonably have been expected to show. Instead, they finished with purpose and continue to build momentum ahead of the final.

James: Palace were excellent in the second half. Their determination and mentality to keep responding to setbacks stood out and deserved recognition.
