The group, which also includes Staveley's husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi, have expressed a strong interest in acquiring Vanessa Gold's stake in the club, with discussions progressing in recent weeks.

Staveley is understood to have secured global investment as part of efforts to complete a deal.

According to sources, the consortium made initial enquiries about investing in West Ham towards the end of last season, which concluded with the Hammers' relegation from the Premier League.

It is understood the group would also be open to acquiring additional shares that could eventually make them majority shareholders.

David Sullivan and Daniel Kretinsky remain the club's principal shareholders.

Staveley was also part of a consortium that explored the possibility of purchasing Tottenham Hotspur last season. She and Ghodoussi sold their shares and departed Newcastle in July 2024.
