The Bees have produced some excellent front-foot football in their opening two league games, with only Manchester United (27) currently averaging more shots per 90 minutes than Brentford (24).

The Black Cats were one of the surprise packages of the 2025/26 campaign, capping a remarkable season by finishing seventh and securing qualification for the Europa League.
Sunderland were the third-lowest scorers in the Premier League last season, but their success was built largely on their defensive strength. Le Bris’ side conceded just 48 goals, the fourth-best record in the division, while also proving adept at restricting the quality of chances created by their opponents.
