The London Marathon is one of our finest events  Let's explore some of the best bits and quotes from the 2025 event. Charlton Athletic produced a statement performance on Easter Monday. They swept aside fellow promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers to keep their automatic promotion hopes in League One alive. Author - Jack L The Addicks travelled to Adams Park knowing only a win would realistically keep them in the hunt for a top-two finish, and they delivered in style, dispatching the home side 4-0 in a dominant display. Dean Holden’s side took control from the outset, asserting their authority early on and rarely allowing Wycombe a moment’s peace. Their pressure paid off just 11 minutes in when Lloyd Jones opened the scoring, calmly slotting past Will Norris after being picked out in the box. Charlton’s intensity continued and was rewarded again in the 24th minute. This time it was Luke Berry who doubled the lead with a superb finish from 15 yards, rifling home to the delight of the travelling support.
