Football: Wycombe Wanderers 0 - 4 Charlton Athletic
Charlton Athletic produced a statement performance on Easter Monday.
They swept aside fellow promotion hopefuls Wycombe Wanderers to keep their automatic promotion hopes in League One alive.

The Addicks travelled to Adams Park knowing only a win would realistically keep them in the hunt for a top-two finish, and they delivered in style, dispatching the home side 4-0 in a dominant display.
Dean Holden’s side took control from the outset, asserting their authority early on and rarely allowing Wycombe a moment’s peace. Their pressure paid off just 11 minutes in when Lloyd Jones opened the scoring, calmly slotting past Will Norris after being picked out in the box.
Charlton’s intensity continued and was rewarded again in the 24th minute. This time it was Luke Berry who doubled the lead with a superb finish from 15 yards, rifling home to the delight of the travelling support.

Wycombe, who started the day in second place and above Wrexham by a single point, looked a shadow of the side that has been pushing for promotion. Charlton controlled the midfield and cut off supply lines to the hosts’ front line, with striker Richard Kone left isolated throughout.
The result was effectively sealed shortly before the hour mark. A costly slip from goalkeeper Norris, as he received a back pass from Xavier Simons, gifted Matt Godden a simple finish for Charlton’s third in the 58th minute.
Just four minutes later, the Addicks were celebrating again. A perfectly placed header from Karoy Anderson made it 4-0, sending the away fans into raptures and underlining Charlton’s complete control of the contest.
Despite finishing the game with ten men after Chuks Aneke was shown a straight red card in stoppage time following a fiery altercation with Luke Leahy, the visitors never looked in danger.
The result leaves Charlton four points behind second-placed Wrexham with two games remaining, keeping their hopes of joining Birmingham City in the automatic promotion places alive, albeit with little margin for error.
It also represents a significant statement of intent at a pivotal stage of the season. For Wycombe, it was a night to forget and one that could prove costly in the race for promotion.
