The British number one has featured in the main draw at the Championships just three times, winning only two of his five matches and never progressing beyond the second round.
Yet the left-hander from England will arrive as the fourth seed when the grass-court Grand Slam gets under way next Monday, a reflection of his remarkable progress.
In the past 12 months, Draper has reached the semi-finals of the US Open, claimed the coveted Indian Wells title and appeared in two further ATP Tour finals.
Can Draper's strengths lead him to success?
His powerful and unpredictable serve allows him to take control of points from the start.
When his first serve finds the target, it is a significant weapon. While his first-serve percentage ranks only 43rd on the ATP Tour this season, he sits 14th for points won behind it.
A slight drop in the quality of his serve played a part in his semi-final defeat at Queen's, a reminder that even small lapses can prove costly in tight, high-level contests.

Can he handle the growing spotlight?
This is not the first time Jack Draper will walk through the gates of Wimbledon as Britain’s top-ranked player, but the level of scrutiny has undoubtedly shifted.
No British player has been seeded this highly at the All England Club since Andy Murray arrived as world number one and defending champion in 2017.
Draper is a confident, assured figure who relishes the big moments and is not shy about encouraging the crowd. But managing nerves has not always come easily.
He has spoken about how working with a breathing coach has helped him, though the real test will come in the days ahead as the pressure builds.
