It was a bad Good Friday for Millwall Blackburn Rovers delivered a resounding victory to put a major dent in Millwall’s flickering hopes of a late push for the Championship play-offs. Author - Mark Lee Norwegian midfielder Sondre Tronstad opened his league account in style, netting twice as Rovers secured their first home win in over two months. In a frenetic end to the first half, Dominic Hyam’s header and a deflected strike from Tronstad came either side of Mihailo Ivanovic’s equaliser, sending Blackburn in at the break with a 2–1 lead. Callum Brittain extended the advantage with a sharp finish at the near post, before Tronstad lashed in his second to round off a commanding display and leave Millwall’s debutant goalkeeper, George Evans, with little chance. Victory would have seen Millwall close the gap to the top six to just three points.
